What is the Civics Project?

The Civics Project is a project that is designed to help people understand the government and how it works.

Is this partisan?

No. Facts do not have a party affiliation. Our algorithms are tuned to extract the 'what' and the 'how' of legislation, leaving the 'why' and the 'should' for you to decide. We provide the lens, not the picture.

What is the long-term goal?

To create a citizenry that is as powerful as the institutions that govern it. We envision a future where every vote is cast with full knowledge, every bill is scrutinized by the public, and transparency is the default state of governance.

Why did we build this?

We believe that understanding your government shouldn't require a law degree. Democracy functions best when citizens are informed, engaged, and capable of holding their representatives accountable. We built this because the gap between political action and public understanding has grown too wide.

How does the data work?

We aggregate public records from official government sources, processing them through advanced language models to distill complexity into clarity. Every summary is grounded in fact, traceable to its source, and designed for neutrality.

How can I help?

Read. Share. Vote. If you are a developer, contribute. If you are a citizen, stay informed. The most dangerous thing to a corrupt system is an educated populace.
